Is there a passport validity requirement?
Yes. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry. Some airlines may deny boarding if your passport is close to expiration, so be sure to double-check this before booking your flights.
Can you help plan my pre- or post-tour travels?
Our priority is delivering a seamless tour experience, so we do not assist with planning additional vacations before or after the tour. However, we’re happy to share general advice or point you to trusted local travel contacts.

Flights and Airport Details

Which airport should I fly into?
Fly into El Salvador International Airport (SAL), located just outside San Salvador. Once you’ve booked your flight and shared your itinerary with us, we’ll arrange for a complimentary airport pickup and transfer to our preferred hotel.
When should I book my flights?
To get the best prices, we recommend booking your international flight 2–3 months in advance. Please send us your complete travel details at least 30 days before the tour so we can confirm your hotel and shuttle arrangements.
• Your arrival flight must land no later than 11 PM on the check-in day.
• Your departure flight should leave after 2 PM on check-out day.

Hotel and Transportation

Do I need to book my own hotel?
No. All lodging during the 6-night, 6-day tour is included in your package. We’ll take care of the reservations for those dates.
• If you arrive early, we can book additional nights at our hotel (at your expense) for up to 7 days before check-in.
• If you stay after the tour, you’ll need to arrange your own lodging. We’re happy to recommend trusted options.
When does the tour end?
The tour concludes Friday morning. We’ll arrange transportation back to San Salvador or directly to the airport, depending on your flight schedule.

If you’re staying in El Salvador for a few days after the tour ends, we can still provide transportation for up to 14 days post-tour. If you’re staying longer than that, we’ll deduct $100 per person from your tour fee, and you’ll be responsible for arranging your own return trip.

We can still provide return transportation within 14 days of the tour’s conclusion. If you’re staying longer, you’ll handle your own logistics. Use platforms like Booking.com or TripAdvisor to find reputable accommodations.

Travel Logistics

Do I need a power adapter?
If you’re coming from the U.S. or Canada, no adapter is needed. El Salvador uses 110V/60Hz, the same as North America. Visitors from other countries should check compatibility with their devices.
Do the hotels provide hairdryers?
Most hotel rooms include a hairdryer. If not, one can usually be requested at the front desk.
What’s the weather like?
• Lowlands: warm and humid, typically in the 80s–90s°F
• Highlands: cooler, usually in the 70s°F

The rainy season runs from May through October, often with afternoon showers. The dry season is from November to April, with mostly sunny and breezy days. A light rain jacket and umbrella are good to pack just in case.

Can I use my mobile phone?
Yes, but contact your provider before traveling to check international coverage. Local SIM cards with data are also available and affordable.
Do I need vaccines or health shots?
There are no required vaccines for El Salvador. However, consult your doctor at least six weeks before travel to discuss your personal health needs and get up-to-date recommendations.
Do credit/debit cards work in El Salvador?
Visa and Mastercard are accepted at many businesses in cities and tourist areas. Still, El Salvador is largely a cash-based economy, especially in rural areas. We suggest bringing $400–500 in cash for any needs before or after the tour.
• ATMs are widely available.
• Most international debit cards allow up to $250 per withdrawal, with fees around $5–6 per transaction.
What currency is used in El Salvador?
El Salvador uses the U.S. Dollar (USD), making it extremely convenient for American travelers.
